Sushi Station, Webster Groves - Visited May 2021

Today was a beautiful day to eat outside at a restaurant and since it was my pick I wanted to select a restaurant that had some available outside seating. I noticed that Sushi Station in Webster said it had some so I thought it was time for some outside sushi. We arrived shortly before their 11:00 am opening and looked at their patio on the back but it looked like it was under construction. Out in front on Gore they had some tables, but there were no umbrellas and it was too sunny to sit outside without any shade. Since the restaurant was completely devoid of other customers we decided to just go inside and sit at a table -- our first time dining inside a restaurant since March 2020!

We were seated at our usual table and we did have the entire dining area to ourselves for a while. Eventually a few more groups did come to eat, but the tables were well spaced and they required customers to remain masked when not seated at their tables. Since we were all vaccinated we felt pretty safe with the criteria they were using inside the restaurant.

My wife ordered her standard teriyaki salmon bowl, and the other four of us shared 8 different sushi rolls as pictured in my photo. We enjoyed the salmon skin, the spicy girl, the kobe beef, the spicy fried calamari, the caterpillar, sweet potato, eel avocado and the spicy crunchy tuna rolls. They were all served attractively on two plates with plenty of wasabi and pickled ginger.

The service was prompt and efficient and the food was fantastic as always. It was definitely fun to go there and share a variety of delicious sushi while supporting a local eatery.
