After being seated we were served two baskets of chips and two bottles of salsa with plenty of little bowls so we could server ourselves the salsa. That is always convenient so you can "double dip" at will in your own little salsa bowl without grossing out your coworkers. My side of the table wiped out our basket of chips in no time, and the server came back quickly the replaced it with a new bowl of warm chips. They are always "muy rapido" with the service at Mi Ranchito. I decided to get the lunch special #3, a burrito, a beef taco and rice, all for the low price of $5.50. A number of other folks ordered the lunch chicken chimichanga, also for $5.50. Bob always orders the chile authentica which he always seems to enjoy, and Margo ordered the grilled chicken salad.
We only had to wait a little while for the food to all come out, and as usual it was freshly prepared and very flavorful. The serving size on my burrito, taco and rice was not that huge, but since I had already eaten so many chips I was more than full. Margo only could eat half of her salad and she was excited to take half of it home for dinner than evening. As the restaurant continued to fill we realized we should go back to campus and perhaps get some work done that afternoon and allow other patrons to take our table. As we drove down the street going back, Margo realized she had left her salad on the table and they had probably already taken it away by then. She was quite saddened she could not have it for dinner!
Mi Ranchito once again does not disappoint with quick, delicious, authentic Mexican food at very affordable prices and with excellent, prompt service. I know we will be headed back again, and it will be good again then too!
