Noodles and Company, Creve Coeur - Visited April 2014

I had recently received a "free pasta" e-mail from Noodle and Company, so we decided to stop there after church today to get my free pasta and enjoy lunch together at their Creve Coeur location after the worship service. I saw their advertised Barbecue Pork Mac so I thought I would try that out, whereas my son ordered a mac & cheese with chicken, my wife ordered a small mac & cheese and my daughter ordered the Penne Rosa.

The first thing we noticed that was amiss was the fancy soda dispenser which seemed to be not dispensing very much sweet syrup, producing rather bitter tasting drinks. Luckily I always order water so I did not notice, but everyone else who ordered soda was not impressed with the not so sweet drinks. When the food arrived, I noticed my Barbecue Pork Mac only has a small dribble of barbecue sauce on the pork, so I could barely taste it. I had to go back to the counter and they gave me a small bowl with a lot more sauce. That made it much better after I dumped all of it into my mac & cheese. The other problem was with my daughter's penne rosa which was a lot hotter than she expected, and was pretty loaded with red pepper. I just checked their menu and they do show one pepper next to it, but they also show one pepper next to the Japanese pan noodles, which I often get and which are never hot at all. Someone in the back was overly zealous with the red pepper and my daughter ended up being the unlucky victim.

So there were a number of miscues on our recent visit to the Noodles & Company in Creve Coeur, but that does not mean we will not be back! In fact, once we receive our next birthday coupon, I could see another return!
