There are three
San Sai locations in the St. Louis area, and we always go to the one at Maplewood Commons since it is the closest. It is actually in a
small shopping area located northwest of the Walmart there next to a Planet Sub. In the photo it is the location on the left most spot of the aerial view:
It has become one of our default lunch spots to visit on Saturday since everybody can find something they like and they are quick and reasonably priced. I typically get the California Roll & Steak combo, although I do sometimes get the Sushi & Roll combo too. The problem with the latter is it is not as filling for the price, and frankly the sushi is okay but not great. I go there realizing this is not a gourmet sushi place, just a "fast food Japanese" eatery that gives you a decent meal for a good price. But then again, fast food Japanese usually beats other typical fast food places and this is one of the few Asian places where my son will actually be happy going.
